A good impression? JONATHAN WELCH

On his recent travels to Trentbartonland, Jonathan Welch visited Derby and Nottingham to take photos to accompany his interview with Jeff Counsell, which appeared in issues 1567 and 1568. Trentbarton is of course known for the effort it puts into marketing each of its services, which it sees as separate retail brands and treats as such, often with dedicated bus stop flags to reinforce the brand image. Other local operators in the area also seemed to be doing a good job, with buses from the likes of Nottingham City Transport and Arriva also appearing well turned-out.
