IRTE is hosting the Technician Professional Development Conference on April 17 in Westminster, with IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) and the FTA.
Ian Chisholm of IRTE’s umbrella organisation SOE said: “With advancements in modern vehicle technology there is a real need for the skill sets of technicians to evolve. The vehicle technician of the future will need to fully understand diagnostic computer systems. This conference will act as a forum for discussing challenges currently facing the industry and developments needed within technician training and assessment.”
Speakers include Senior TC Beverley Bell, CEO of VOSA Alastair Peoples, and CEO of the Engineering Council Jon Prichard.
