Arriva London North has lost three routes in the latest Transport for London (TfL) bus tendering round – which amounts to 49 buses worth of work.

Metroline has won two routes – the 125 and the 34. It will take over the operation of the latter, which links Walthamstow Central Station with Barnet Church, on November 8. The service has a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 22, although the vehicle type remains to be confirmed.

The new contract for the 125 begins on January 31. The PVR for the route, which runs between Finchley Central and Winchmore Hill, will be 13. TfL said the vehicle type for this service also remains to be confirmed.

London General will start running route 192 (Tottenham Hale Station – Enfield) on November 8 using 14 new hybrid single-deckers. Arriva London North has however, retained the 02/N102 (Edmonton Green – Brent Cross / Golders Green) using existing diesel double-deckers. The new contract, which has a PVR of 25, starts on November 8.
