Suffolk Norse has confirmed to CBW that it has acquired certain assets from Forget Me Not Travel Ltd’s.
Ipswich-based Suffolk Norse has purchased four vehicles from the original fleet of 10, which will continue to operate from Forget Me Not Travel’s depot in Otley.
In a statement, Forget Me Not Travel’s owners Tony, Andy and Many Soames said they were confident Suffolk Norse would continue to provide their service that has been operating for nearly 100 years: “We are happy that Suffolk Norse Ltd has agreed to look after our customers and employ some of our former staff.
“We are confident that Suffolk Norse Ltd will continue to provide the service that has been provided by the Soames family for four generations. We would like to thank our customers for all their support over the years.”
Commenting on the deal which was finalised on September 5, Trevor Whiting, Managing Director of Suffolk Norse Ltd said: “We are delighted to have been able to negotiate this agreement with such a respected local coach operator and we very much look forward to provide the same level of service to customers. We look forward to meeting the customers of Forget Me Not Travel Ltd over the coming weeks.”
Suffolk Norse also confirmed it will undertake any bookings made through Forget Me Not Travel Ltd.
