Leon’s of Stafford has purchased a new three-acre site, which is currently being developed into a state of the art facility by builders Espleys of Stafford.

The £3m investment, which was announced as this issue went to press on Monday (February 13), is located at Paton Drive in the Beaconside area of Stafford.

Robert Douglas, director, said: “Leon’s Coaches have always planned to expand our services which include holidays, day trips, and contract services. We have all worked very hard for that aim, and now is the time to move forward as we have outgrown our current site. We’re confident this new facility will launch our transport business to even greater success.”

The business currently operates with 29 vehicles, employing 40 staff. The firm claims the newly built administration block, work shops and testing plant have been built to the highest environmental standards and will give their customers and work force much better facilities than at present.

An update on the new site and opening date will be made soon.
