Ensignbus recently announced the sale of its Brentwood local bus operations, to Essex-based operator NIBS buses.
The change will come into effect from 17 June subject to regulatory approval. The network utilises seven buses on a group of local services. No staff will move with the sale. Four buses will transfer over, and minor changes will be made to timetables although overall frequencies will remain the same. As part of the purchase, the X90 service will cease to operate.
Bill Hiron, NIBS buses Managing Director, explained: “NIBS already run several routes in the Brentwood area, and this acquisition dovetails in perfectly with our business. We look forward to welcoming both existing and new customers on board our new Brentwood services.”
