Souter Investments subsidiary wins the same award two years running

POLAND Souter Investments subsidiary, PolskiBus.com has received the FDI Poland Investor award for ‘Top UK Investor of the Year’, for the second year in a row. In winning the award, it beat off competition from a number of blue chip companies including Tesco, Aviva, Costa (Whitbread), Baxters and Bupa/Luxmed. The winner were selected by a panel of judges made up of Ambassadors and members of chambers of commerce from Poland and abroad.

The award comes at an exciting time for the company with its recent launch of a regional network of eight new routes to 17 Polish cities and major towns, and PolskiBusGold, its new luxury service.

Piotr Pogonowski, Director of Marketing and Communications at PolskiBus.com said: “Receiving the Top UK Investor of the Year Award for the second year in a row is confirmation of our position in the market. During our four years in Poland we have invested 234 million PLN and created almost 900 jobs. We have changed the image of public transport in Poland by setting the highest standards.”

Launched in 2011 by Souter Investments, PolskiBus.com has experienced rapid growth and quickly established itself as the high quality intercity bus operator in Poland with a nationally recognised brand. It now has 26 routes serving 40 Polish cities and in partnership with sister company SuperBus.com reaches eight European locations: Berlin, Berlin Schönefeld Airport, Bratislava, Prague, Riga, Vienna, Vilnius and Tallinn.

More than 14 million passengers have been carried using a fleet that comprises modern and air-conditioned buses with WiFi, at seat charging points, on-board toilets and reclining leather seats. PolskiBus.com says its fares are transparent and it does not charge any hidden fees, with a generous luggage allowance included in the ticket price. This most recent award highlights the progress the company has made since launch.
