Prentice Coaches of Haddington has taken delivery of a new Mellor Strata low-floor bus, which joins another Strata of the same specification that was delivered in 2016 and was one of the first Stratas to enter service.
The new Strata features a seating capacity of 22, low-entry floor and a Sentinel seven camera CCTV system complete with a reversing camera.
Ross Prentice, Managing Director at Prentice Coaches, said: “Returning to Mellor for another Strata was an easy decision to make. They involve customers throughout the process and nothing is too much trouble.
“I have always found them very easy to deal with and the vehicles are fantastic – our drivers and passengers have nothing but good things to say and that’s the important part.”
Prentice Coaches is based 15 minutes outside of Edinburgh city centre, and operates a number of local bus services. Since the business was first established in 1991, the company has scooped several accolades over the years, including Top Independent Operator at the 2016 UK Bus Awards and a silver for the same category at the 2017 ceremony.
