Two years after its market launch, Setra has introduced additional variants to its ComfortClass 500 coach range
Firstly, the 10.5m short S511HD is the newly born successor to the S411HD of the Setra TopClass 400 and is now also available with automated manual transmission as well as rear door.
At the other extreme is what Setra terms as its ‘super long variant,’ which comes in the form of the S519HD – a 71-seater 15m tri-axle.
In between are the 12.3m long S515MD and the 13.1m S516MD. The Germany manufacturer describes these as ‘a new, lowcost and flexible entry into the world of private travel of the Setra ComfortClass 500.’ Both models are optionally available with all the familiar features from the HD variants of the ComfortClass 500.
Hartmut Schick, Head of Daimler Buses said: “With the latest vehicle models, the Setra ComfortClass 500 has entered a new dimension. We are very proud that the four new touring coaches will add extra economically attractive model variants to our range of premium buses. With new heights and lengths, they too will keep down the overall operating costs of our customers.”
