The organisers of the 2017 UK Coach Awards have stepped-up help and support for coach operators considering an entry as part of a campaign to increase nominations for this year’s competition.

The move includes a new guide on how operators can ask their customers for nominations, which has been published as part of the new coach operators pack for the 2017 awards.

The pack contains everything that potential entrants for the awards need, including a full set of forms, guidance notes, the guide to the categories and criteria, plus leaflets and posters which are free to reproduce and distribute. The suggested note to customers is designed to be used as an email or social media post, and uses wording successfully used by other organisations to seek votes or award nominations.

Awards organisers are seeking nominations for the driver, customer service and operator awards from the industry’s customers. Public nominations for these awards are open until early December.

UK Coach Awards Chairman, Allan Edmondson, said: “The authentic voice of the customer – the people who use operators and drivers month in and month out – is an essential part of what we’re about. We want to hear from tour operators and group organisers about the operators, customer service staff and drivers who really deliver top notch service.

“Getting endorsements from customers is a great way to spread the quality message, so we hope operators will download the pack and take advantage of the advice.”

The UK Coach Awards has also published new guidance for winners and finalists on how to maximise the benefits of their success in the competition.
