With an eye on the coaching diaries of operators for next year, the UK Coach Rally is asking interested firms to book now – for only 50 entries can be accommodated.

What’s more, the event, one of the highlights of the coach industry calendar, is gearing up for celebrating its’ Diamond Jubilee in 2014. To this end, it has launched a new logo, website and email addresses to enhance the celebration.

The 2014 rally will once again be hosted by Alton Towers Resort on May 10 and 11 – accompanied by the ever-popular Saturday night Diamond Jubilee Dinner Dance.

“The 2014 rally has 19 coach entries so far and they have booked their numbers early as we are limited to only 50 entries into the rally,” Sonia Cousins, of organisers Coach Displays told CBW.

Operators who have entered so far include: Banstead Coaches, Blakes Coaches, BM Coaches, Dews Coaches, D.J. Thomas Coaches, Edwards Coaches, Everydays Travel, Falcon Coaches, Go Goodwins, Holmeswood Coaches, Jay & Kay Coach Tours, Kenzie’s Coaches, Paul S Winson Coaches, Robin Hood Travel and Stanley Travel.

Meanwhile, trade support has been pledged by Irizar, MAN, BASE, Dawsonrentals, Volvo and CPT.

While the 2013 rally and UK Coach Awards were held together, it was decided the two events will separate and return to previous formats for 2014. UK Coach Rally Chairman, Stephen Telling, said; “The combined Coach Rally and Awards weekend this year was a great success, but as next year is our Diamond Jubilee and a real landmark in our history, an agreement could not be made that allowed the Rally to celebrate in a style that befits this major anniversary.”
