GERMANY: Solaris is supplying five 18.7m articulated Urbino buses to Hagener Straßenbahn AG, the municipal operator in Hagen. Deliveries are scheduled for completion by the end of May.
So far, the operator has bought nine Solaris Urbino 12 citybuses and has now decided to opt for higher capacity models.
The Urbino 18.75 is the longest Solaris bus ever offered. The additional length gives the possibility of installing an extra row of four seats, enhancing its passenger capacity.
The bus is supplied as standard with a DAF PR265 engine and Voith Diwa 5 transmission with a ZF EcoLife listed as an option. Seated passenger capacity is from 33-55 depending on the layout chosen.
