Cardiff Bus has released a new smartphone app, which is available for download on android and iOS phones.
Launched on July 29, the app allows customers to view live times, maps and keep up-to-date with the latest travel information. The app features real-time departure boards, a ‘find your nearest stop’ function, timetables & maps and the latest service updates and news.
Gareth Stevens, Business Development Manager at Cardiff Bus, told CBW: “We’ve only pushed the app through Facebook and Twitter, so most of the promotion has been through word of mouth. This was done deliberately to gauge response. In the first few weeks we’ve had just over 3,500 downloads and lots of positive feedback.”
The operator has also teamed up with several companies around Cardiff to give customers discounts and offers when they present their iff card. This includes a 50% discount on UK holiday insurance when booking a UK Holiday from Edwards Coach Holidays.
