Copthorne, West Sussex-based Southdown PSV is increasing its commercial bus network by integrating four former ‘closed door’ school. “In addition we have changed our airport G4 service into local bus 40/50,” said Managing Director Steve Swain. “We took this action as it became clear that the hotel chain were going to withdraw funding so by changing the route we still offer an excellent service to and from the airport for hotel guests and in addition we are carrying passengers who are using the bus to get to work or to the shops.

“Finally we have taken on the former tendered 657 service commercially and renumbering it 357. It used to serve Reigate College twice a day. We now run it throughout the day as students start and finish at different times. Again we’re hoping the service will be used by the general public as well as students. Three former Isle of Man DAF DB250s have been purchased for this additional work.”
