A break-in at Sittingbourne-based Chalkwell’s parking facility has resulted in several thousand pounds worth of damage being caused to vehicles.

Windows were smashed on five Chalkwell coaches and buses over the Easter bank holiday period which resulted in a considerable amount of damage.

Chalkwell said the police have been made aware of the break in and CCTV is currently being analysed.

Chalkwell Commercial Director, Roland Eglinton, said: “Our staff have worked hard to ensure that any disruption to the public has been kept to a minimum.

“We would also like to thank our customers for their support and understanding at this difficult time.”
