The 2012 edition of the London Coach Parking map was launched at the O2 in Greenwich on April 26, by CPT President Mark Yexley and TfL Managing Director of Surface Transport, Leon Daniels.

As ever, the map has been produced jointly by TfL and CPT and details information on costs and opening times of coach parks/ bays, parking restrictions, useful contact details and information on best practice and passenger safety.

Speaking at the launch, where over 100 coach operators and stakeholders were gathered, Mark Yexley said: “CPT is delighted to be supporting the publication of the 9th edition of London Coach Parking Map. Since its creation the map has been developed and improved each year. It is an excellent example of the coach industry working in partnership with local government and together we have created an important and valuable tool for operators visiting London. It’s a strong example of best practice CPT would like to see replicated throughout the country.”

Representing TfL, Leon Daniels said: “There are over 3000 coach movements a day in London with 1000 of these being private hire – bringing in tourists and visitors who will contribute over £300m to the local economy. The map with the helpline and website gives drivers and operators a better understanding of coach parking and driver facilities in London, particularly during the games.”
