Passengers in Newcastle have been quick to praise stalwart Go North East bus drivers who battled through the recent floods in the region to get people home. Gridlocked roads brought Tyneside to a halt and flash flooding closed the Tyne and Wear Metro, but the Go-Ahead subsidiary kept services going with grateful passengers praising drivers through the company’s popular Facebook page.
