Bays for six coaches will be included in plans for any new shops built on the former Greyfriars bus station site, the Northampton Chronicle has reported.
Although it does not mean the bays will be included in the final build on the former site Northampton. It could potentially see the coach stops with limited facilities at Victoria Street in the town abandoned.
The brochure suggests there should be ‘incorporation of a small transport hub to provide a northern town centre gateway and retain easy access for passengers.’
Shortlisted developers must make detailed bids in January with a decision, following public consultation, expected by the end of that month.
