Busmark, the benchmarking club offered by the Bus and Coach Forum of the Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport (CILT), recently held its quarterly member meeting in Manchester, where praise was given from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).

Cllr Andrew Fender, Chairman, TfGM Committee of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, underlined that good services are essential in Greater Manchester and endorsed the values of Busmark.

He said: “I would recommend this club to operators not currently within membership.”

Mike Renshaw, Executive Director, Transport for Greater Manchester, was in agreement with Cllr Andrew Fender’s remarks, emphasising that the Authority and TfGM saw collaboration and partnership as essential.

Adrian de Courcey FCILT is CEO of Travel de Courcey Ltd and Chairman of Busmark Steering Group.

He commented: “We are delighted with the growth of Busmark, which is exceeding all expectations.

“It’s particularly pleasing that TfL, and now TfGM, are backing the values of this club and I urge all operators, regardless of fleet size, to get engaged within the Busmark benchmarking club.”

Following its launch last year, Busmark has attracted many top bus and coach operators in the UK. The latest members to join have been operators Brighton & Hove and Metrobus.

The benchmark was developed specifically for the bus and coach sector by bus and coach practitioners.
