Van Hool Breaking ground in Macedonia
Filip Van Hool with Macedonian PM Nikola Gruevski

Van Hool is building a new bus and coach production facility in Skopje, Macedonia.

A ground breaking ceremony has taken place on the site and was attended by the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski, a number of local dignitaries and Filip Van Hool, Executive Director of Van Hool.

The decision to build a production facility in Macedonia was taken in January this year. Preparations are going according to plan and the first vehicles are scheduled to leave the factory in the second half of 2013.

Van Hool, the Belgian independent bus, coach and industrial vehicle manufacturer, employs over 4,000 people across the globe and has firmly retained its manufacturing in its homeland. It has two major production facilities at Koningshooikt and Bree in Belgium.
