Visit Essex’s successful Tourism & Leisure Show is to make a return in 2012, with many new exhibitors attending for the first time. After 17 years as the sole group travel show in the East of England, the event is still providing exhibitors with quality group travel organisers, all seeking short breaks and great days out.

The event, running from 1000 to 1530hrs on February 23, showcases visitor attractions, destinations, coach and tour operations, hotel groups and more throughout the east and south east of the country. As well as tourism businesses, the Taste Essex area is at capacity this year. The area gives visitors the chance to “try before they buy” some of the wonderful Essex produce available.

Courtesy coaches operated by Florida Coaches will run from Witham Railway Station to the venue, at the Crowne Plaza Resort of Colchester Five Lakes Hotel, every half hour from 0930hrs to the venue. The newly refurbished Crowne Plaza Resort will do “show rounds” of the new facilities at various times throughout the day.

There will also be an opportunity to take a mini familiarisation trip to Layer Marney Tower– the tallest Tudor Gatehouse in theUK– at 1000 and 1545hrs. Booking is essential and individual transport arrangements are required, though the last coach to the station will drop off here and pick up again at 1630hrs.
