National Express has unveiled a special Jubilee Caetano Levante coach to celebrate their sponsorship of the Royal Commonwealth Society’s ‘Jubilee Time Capsule’.

The Jubilee Time Capsule is a large history project, collecting people’s memories from the last 60 years to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

At a launch event in London on Monday, May 14, National Express Group Chief Executive Dean Finch joined Royal Commonwealth Society Director Dr Danny Sriskandarajah to unveil the special Jubilee coach. The vehicle, operated by Travel De Courcey, features a selection of the most moving moments submitted to the project from across the UK. It will travel between London and Birmingham encouraging people to submit their memories to the project.

The Jubilee Time Capsule currently has over 61,000 uploaded items – including content from Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie.

Dr Danny Sriskandarajah said: “As Jubilee excitement builds, we are delighted so many people, young and old, all across the Commonwealth, want to share their moving moments. With the support of National Express we hope to encourage even more people to get involved in this innovative Diamond Jubilee project.”

Dean Finch said: “This amazing project forms part of Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations – offering everyone the chance to share their own moving moments from the past 60 years.

“As well as providing travel to the many Jubilee celebrations taking place around the UK this summer we are encouraging customers to upload their personal memories.”
