Wilts & Dorset’s (W&D) successful Poole to Boscombe m2 route has been extended to Southbourne. The addition to m2 will offer a bus up to every seven minutes during weekdays and Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sundays. Night buses will also run on Fridays and Saturdays until 0400hrs.
m2 will now run from Christchurch Road to Pokesdown rail station, Seabourne Road to Fishermans Walk, Southbourne, and then returns via Pokesdown and Boscombe into Bournemouth.
W&D Commercial manager Leon Wellman said the service enhancement follows requests and suggestions from customers who use the services each month: “Since the launch of the more bus m1 and m2 services in 2004, we have seen year on year growth of approximately 15%. We believe that the Southbourne extension will be appreciated by commuters and leisure travellers alike.”
